Our Textiles
Our Fabrics: Earth-Focused Innovation
At Zaya & Kai, every fabric begins its journey from nature, transforming plant waste like Sugarcane, and Orange Peels into sustainable, biodegradable textiles.
By using agro-waste and natural inputs such as saline water, soapberries, and tamarind paste (and a wee beeswax), we merge ancient wisdom with modern eco-technology. This ensures that our textiles biodegrade completely in only a couple of months days when composted correctly, creating fashion that not only feels good but also does good.
We believe in rethinking textiles. While traditional cellulose based fibres has a reputation for being harmful to the environment, our process turns it into something magical. By extracting cellulose from plant waste, we create breathable, earth-friendly fabrics without petrochemicals (Yuck!). The results?
Beautiful, sustainable textiles that offer both style and a low ecological footprint.

Biodegradable Textiles: The Beauty of Returning to Nature
Biodegradable textiles like ours have the unique ability to break down through natural processes, such as bacterial activity, without leaving harmful waste behind.
These fabrics decompose into carbon dioxide, water, and natural material, creating minimal impact on the environment.
With Zaya & Kai, you can wear the change, knowing that when it’s time to return your clothing to the earth, it does so with grace, creating a true cycle of sustainability.
